angled floot joint keys   Your pinky does not meet the footjoint at a square angle, so why are the keys made square? This modification also brings the keys a little closer to the pinky, reducing the stretch.
long #G key   The touchpiece must come to the finger, not the finger to the touchpiece. This modification was made for a player with an extremely short pinky.
low thumb keys   What if your thumb comes a bit lower on the instrument than the key? Let us adapt the key not the player.
extra high hand support on flute   Why should we make such an effort to reach the #c key? Especially if your finger is not so long, or flexible.
The photograph also shows an extra high support for left hand.
extra high thumb keys   Another unique thumb key modification. For individual modifications, come see me in Amsterdam.
For true performance, your instrument must fit your hand like a glove. Most instruments are made to a "one size fits all" philosophy. Flutelab knows about hands, about keymaking and about the needs of musicians.

Maarten Visser“The key should bring the hole to where the finger is. Stretching to reach a key is not a logical thing to do.”

- Maarten Visser

You can play with more precision and less fatigue on an instrument that really fits you.
